Suffern, NY – The Aust Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of our client, Pest Shield Corporation, to JP McHale Pest Management, an Anticimex Company.
Founded in 1932 by Joseph Stangel, Pest Shield Corporation is a third-generation pest and termite control company based in Suffern, NY. Passing down the family legacy, Joseph’s son, Barry Stangel, a pest control industry veteran, took ownership of the company with his wife Lucile. Their daughter Laura then joined the business and later became the majority owner of Pest Shield Corporation in 1998. Under Laura’s leadership, the company expanded its influence throughout greater Rockland County, NY, earning a strong reputation for professionalism and top-notch service over its impressive 90-year history. Pest Shield Corporation has been long standing members of both National Pest Management Association (NPMA) and the New York Pest Management Association (NYPMA).

The Aust Group represented Pest Shield Corporation on the transaction. The transaction closed on May 16th, 2023, and the terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
