McHenry, IL – The Aust Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of our client, Schopen Pest Solutions, Inc. to OPC Pest Services, a subsidiary of Rollins.
Formed by Pete Schopen in 2006, Schopen Pest Solutions is a general pest control business based in McHenry, IL. With a staff of over 40 employees servicing residential and commercial clients throughout northern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin, Schopen Pest Solutions has grown into one of the most recognized pest control brands in the Midwest. In addition to their significant growth in recent years, Schopen Pest Solutions has maintained an excellent workplace culture, earning the Readers’ Choice Awards Top Workplace for McHenry County for two consecutive years. Schopen Pest Solutions is members of several trade associations including NPMA, Illinois Pest Control Association, Wisconsin Pest Control Association, and the Greater Chicago Pest Management Alliance, which Pete has served on the board. Pete is also a regular contributor for Pest Management Professional (PMP) Magazine, where he shared best practices and insights from his start-up Schopen Pest Solutions for many years and is now interviewing other pest control owners on their start-up journey. Pete will remain with Schopen Pest Solutions until October 2023, and is embarking on his new venture “RV There Yet Consulting”, which will offer industry training focused on culture and leadership development.

The Aust Group represented Schopen Pest Solutions as the exclusive financial advisor on the transaction. The transaction closed on March 6th, 2023, and the terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
